I am an American. I love America, at least the good stuff. However, I can’t stand hearing all this crap how the environment and evolution is the cause of so many American’s obesity. It’s wretched!

One of the latest vomit inducing articles is about how poor American kids as young as 5 are so worried about their weight. The opening sentence reads: Girls as young as five are sensitive about their bodies in a “weight-hostile” environment that equates popularity and attractiveness with thinness, an international conference of experts has heard.

First of all, get the kids away from the TV, away from the computers and away from fast food restaurants! That would be a huge help!

American kids, and adults, feel the way they do because of all the junk they see on commercials, advertisements and TV shows. They’re nothing but actors and actresses, all beautifully fit and selected by professional ad agents to produce the results their clients need in order to sell their product or service.

How many commercials on TV have you see where someone in really good shape is wolfing down a Big Mac and French fries while gulping down a diet drink? After watching so many of those, most people are going to think they can do it too. Why not? It all looks delicious and healthy.

Big companies pay big money to do research on the effects of commercials like those. They lure kids and adults into obesity. But it’s not the companies fault. It’s their job to make money. But you would never know that by the articles you read from Americans and the media.

Special interest groups and individuals blame everyone and everything else for all the problems. Ever hear of a story where someone is actually accepting the responsibility? Hardly ever! So we’re back to evolution being the reason for people getting fat and the environment.

Here’s more of the article:

And the problems continue through to adult life, where overweight women are at increased risk of depression, the 10th International Congress on Obesity was told. (My notes: Of course people are going to be depressed! These adults have never really learned what it takes to keep healthy and fit. They’ve been depressed probably since childhood about being overweight but have had no real help learning how to fight it. Along the way, they’ve programmed their bodies to lust after certain foods and have no self control over their eating habits. That makes me depressed just thinking about it!) “Children are sensitive at an increasingly early age to their physical appearance,” said Leeds University professor Andrew Hill. (They’re sensitive because they watch so much TV and see they need to diet everyday from it and the media. If they only got out more often did some exercise, they would probably lose weight and build up their self-esteem.) “The impact of being overweight on girls’ self-confidence has been detected in children as young as five years. (I just told you why they’re so self-confident about their weight. Wean them off the TV and the Internet games!) There’s a lot more to the article. For a full read, go to this website:

American kids and adults need to rethink their lifestyles. Instead of spending so much time at work, in front of the TV or on the computer, they need to be busy doing other things that use their muscles, not their brains. If they stay at what they’re doing, their brains may continue working, but their bodies are going to be mush. Once they get to that point, they’ll be even more pitiful than they are now.

Americans rise up and get healthy. Stop blaming every little problem you experience on someone or something else. Stand up and take the responsibility for your problems, environmental and so forth. The environment you find yourselves in is your own doing, not someone elses!
