Is Winter Here Yet?

I don’t know about you, but here in Kyoto, Japan, the weather is rather warm for this time of year. It’s either not winter yet or we’ve skipped winter and moved straight into spring.

However, from what I keep hearing, we may get a blast of cold weather here soon, which would mean winter would finally arrive. Some say winter may come late and hang around longer than usual. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

If the cherry blossoms start popping out like they have over on the east coast of the United States, I think it was either New York or Washington D.C., then the winter of 2007 wouldn’t actually come until December 21st, 2007…and that would actually be the winter of 2008, which would mean winter of 2007 wouldn’t have actually come, and we would have gone from fall 2006 to spring 2007, right?

Oh well, I’m not sure if what I just said makes any sense. It’s late and I should be in bed sleeping anyhow. Watch there be snow on the ground tomorrow morning and the temperature be below 0. Come on winter, the ski resorts here in Japan need you!
