American values and ethics are being corrupted from within and abroad slowly and methodically. This corruption has been a work in progress for many years. More and more laws are being created daily slowly chipping away the freedoms for which Americans have fought so hard for.
American freedom is a freedom like no other. It is an idea that became a reality thanks to our forefathers from England. Our forefathers separated from England because the government failed to function and represent the people the way our forefathers thought is should have. An example is how representatives in England did not and still to this day do not need to live in the area of the country they represent.
Take for example Hillary Clinton. In order for her to become a Senator for the state of New York, she had to actually live in the state. So she bought a place and became a Senator. (Personally, I think she bought her place there just so she could become a New York Senator, not because she wanted to live in New York. But that is her right and freedom; one she has and should have.)
American people are free to do and speak without fear of hostile response. Countries outside America seldom exhibit these freedoms Americans so often take for granted on a daily basis. China is not a democracy, but a totalitarian socialist society. People are imprisoned for speaking out against the country.
Americans, however, are free to speak out against their own government, politicians, organizations, businesses, and individuals and ideas without fearing hostile response. Yet it is these very freedoms that are being threatened today, not only by foreigners and foreign businesses and organizations, but also by Americans from within the borders of America.
America is a melting pot. It is the melting pot of the free world and the only such country in existence where freedom really is freedom.
Freedom is the concept of political freedom closely allied with the concepts of civil liberties and human rights. Most democratic societies are characterized by various freedoms which are afforded the legal protection of the state. Some of these freedoms include (in alphabetical order):
Freedom to bear arms
Freedom of assembly
Freedom of association
Freedom from government sanctioned discrimination
Freedom of education
Freedom of movement (or travel)
Freedom of the press
Freedom of religion (or belief)
Freedom of speech
Freedom of thought
Sexual freedom
Intellectual freedom
Freedom from military occupation, colonialism, or Imperialism (see Freedom Fighter)
America has many enemies, and many allies. However, at times, even its allies can be threatening to the very foundation of freedom America is built on.
Foreigners have been coming to America since the beginning. America is foreigners. Many people come to America to get away from controlling dictators, totalitarians, monarchs and theocrats. But not all who move to America have the good of the country in mind. Those who take the oath to become citizens swear to uphold the laws and constitution of the United States, but it is up to them to uphold their oath.
Here is the Oath of Allegiance:
“I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen;
That I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic;
That I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same;
And that I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion;
So help me God.”
All Americans should take this oath, whether or not they have been born there or have immigrated there. Many foreigners to America, who become Americans legally, love America and would fight for their freedom in America. Unfortunately for them and the many others that don’t take their freedoms for granted, there are a lot of Americans and non-Americans living in America that would love to see American become a socialist, communist or theocratic country.
Organizations and special interest groups like Moveon.org and the ACLU bring about fewer and fewer freedoms for Americans through the laws they strive to create to supposedly bring about unity amongst the peoples of America. The creation of more laws doesn’t bring about a better society, but stifles common sense and creativity, and creates separateness.
One great example of how Moveon.org and the ACLU bring about more separateness is when someone stands against them. The organizations and organizers of rallies encourage followers to band together in large numbers ranting and raving as loudly as they can so they can drown out those they oppose. These are nothing more than scare tactics and intimidation. Where is the freedom in that kind of approach? If two people who have different views and cannot speak out about their differences in America, it is a sad day. And sadly enough, this type of behavior is becoming the norm of society where the stronger prey on the weaker using intimidation and strong-arm tactics to get the outcome they want.
American values and ideals were designed to protect everyone, both the strong and the weak, black and white, old and young. It is a freedom granted everyone and one everyone is protected by in the Constitution of the United States. But beware! That too is being threatened. And if law ever changes that, America is in trouble!
As organizations like Moveon.org, the ACLU and other supposedly civil right special interest groups create more laws on discrimination, we actually create a more discriminatory nation.
Americans need to stand up and fight the organizations, big businesses and people that want to take away our freedoms.
If you are an American or believe in American values and freedoms, stand up and be heard!
