No Brainer

First and foremost, my prayers go out to the families whose loved ones have been abruptly taken away by this deranged killer at Virginia Tech. Supposedly, this guy started shooting people because of some problem between him and his girlfriend and an advisor at school that was trying to help them out.

This sort of stuff should never happen. People need to learn that suicide or taking someone else’s life is not the answer to a problem. These types of things only enlarge the problems and hurt others. But of course people in these situations don’t really care about others or themselves because the pain they are experiencing is too great for them to handle, or at least that is what they are fooled into believing. They see no hope and take the easiest way out.

This kind of approach seems to be the way of life these days.

• Do what makes you happy and that is all that matters.
• Selfishness is good and selflessness is bad.
• Life is better when we are thinking of ourselves and not worrying about others.

Life these days is all upside down and out of whack for many! Too many have come to believe that the easy way and the selfish way is the best way, but they couldn’t be more wrong. Now, after yet another school tragedy where innocent lives have been taken, people are most assuredly going to shout, “Ban guns! No more guns!” thinking that is the answer to all the problems. But it isn’t. That approach a foolishly easy approach to try and remedy the problem. But it isn’t the solution. In the end, it will only do more harm than good.
