An Early Summer

Usually, the hot muggy weather doesn’t arrive in Japan until July, but not this year!

A week and a half ago the weather was cool at night and warm during the daytime. But after the rain came last week, the weather changed. The rain brought the hot muggy weather typical of July and August.

Nights are still cool enough to sleep with the windows opened, but it won’t be much longer and you’ll have to close the windows and turn on the air conditioner.

If you plan to visit the Kansai area of Japan, bring shorts and lots of T-shirts because you’ll need to change them a lot unless you stay in the trains or indoors most of the day.
