Antonio R. Villaraigosa is the 41st mayor of Los Angeles. He was elected on May 17, 2005 and sworn into office on July 1, 2005. Villaraigosa is known for his exceptional skill at building broad bi-partisan coalitions and is considered one of the leading progressive voices in the United States.

Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa is so upset that a high profile illegal immigrant woman, Elvira Arellano, was caught and deported back to Mexico on Los Angeles soil by Federal Agents that he has written a request asking Federal Agents to inform him of anything they plan to do in the future on his soil.

After hearing of Mayor Villaraigosa’s situation and request, I immediately went to the Los Angeles City website to read more about the man. From the looks of his portion of the LA City site, he is a very prideful man. Of course, I don’t know him at all. He may not be prideful at all. But from the looks of his banners cycling through on every page of his Biography, it looks like he wants viewers to see all the things he does and the people he has met. There are pictures of him doing charity work, reaching out to policemen, a photo with Ex-President Clinton, another with Magic Johnson, him playing sports and talking with students.

I guess where I get the rub mostly is from his picture with President Clinton and not one with our current President Bush. It shows to me he’s more concerned with reaching out to people who are more liberally-minded.

Then with this recent request to have Federal Agents inform him of any future actions they may do in Los Angeles involving illegal immigrants shows me he is either angry from pride from being left out of the loop, or worried about how he might look to left-leaning-illegal-immigrant-amnesty-givers who believe high profile illegal immigrant like Elvira Arellano, who clearly broke Federal Law, should be given amnesty or safe haven. I’m surprised the ACLU and other leftist organizations haven’t jumped all over the Federal Agents who deported her. But then again, this matter has only just begun. Mexico has already released a statement on the matter supposedly from Elvira saying that the American government is at fault, not her, because they allowed her into the country and let her pay taxes and then deported her. No where in the statement was there any mention of her sneaking back into the United States to have a baby and then using a phony Social Security number to work cleaning airplanes at Chicago’s airport.

As if sneaking into the country and working under a fake ID isn’t illegal enough to get deported, she is now saying she is going to sue the USA for taking tax money she sent in using an illegal Social Security number.

What is this world coming to? Do people actually believe what they’re saying is right? Does she actually think she’s in the right and can sue? If the US government or any judge allows this case to even come to court it will be a sad day. But like I said earlier, the ACLU and other wrong-viewing organizations may get involved and throw around their Liberal muscle.

Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa looks to be setting up new policy for Los Angeles inline with many of the ACLU and other leftwing Liberals to allow illegal aliens to take refuge in Lost Angeles. Oops! Sorry, typo. Los Angelians better beware! If illegals find out they can find safe haven in their city, it won’t be long before some terrorist uses the city as a stepping stone for something larger than LA. And besides that, there are only so many street corners available in Los Angeles. Before long, other cities will become overun with illegal immigrants waiting around searching for work! Actually, it may be the other way around. It may be US citizens left on the street corners looking for work and the illegal immigrants no longer illegal but legally holding their jobs up in one of the highrise offices rubbing elbows with Magic Johnson.
