Interesting. I read a similar thing in a book that tracked the decline of all the great civilizations through history...forget the name...think it was called 'collapse'. Similar ideas about declining morality being a precursor to collapse of a dominant civilization. Also mentioned expanding empire, economy etc This book lined up all the points with America's current state. I guess many Western countries would qualify on the declining morality front. Apart from Australia of course which is a shining beacon of moral perfection... Yeah. Interesting.
