Senator Murtha seems to never be at a loss for words on issues, unless it is about himself, like his remark regarding the Haditha Marines where he said, “Our troops overreacted because of the pressure on them, and they killed innocent civilians in cold blood.”

 

His remarks over the years have showed a lack of restraint, respect and judgment. He should be held accountable for the damage his remarks have caused. He has made the military out to be criminals and a shambles. He has spoken with too much authority before facts have been weighed and court adjourned. Who needs judges when we have people like Murtha?

 

Murtha has gotten away many times with slanderous words. If he were living under the rule of a king or queen, he would find himself working as the headless horseman and not as Senator! But America is not a monarchy nor is our ruler, President Bush, in a position to enact a beheading. Lucky for Murtha!

 

It is an outrage that anyone in a position such as Murtha not be held accountable for his or her words or actions. He and his liberal cohorts who have smeared the good name of America and the military should not be allowed to skate away cleanly without some sort of action against them to teach them and others to be more careful with the words they use and to not condemn before proper evidence is brought forward and judgment is made by those who have the authority to judge. They like everyone else in America are accountable and should be held so.

 

My civilian hat off to you guys working so hard overseas fighting the fight we civilians, for the most part, take for granted each and every day! America and many other countries are the safer because of the work you do! God Bless you all and keep up the good work!

 

As for Mr Jack Murtha, I think he will learn to use his head a little better once he is voted out of office. Lucky for him, he will be able to keep it!
